    Democratic leadership and organizational improvement in local NGOS in Garbaharey district, Somalia

    The study sought to appraise the Democratic Leadership and Organizational Improvement in local NGO5 Garbaharey district Somalia, The objectives of this study was to determine the profile of the respondent in terms of age, gender, educational qualifications and experience, To evaluate the democratic leadership and organizational improvement and to find out whether democratic leadership after central government in Somalia improves in Garbaharey district Gedo Region Somalia. The study used descriptive correlation design; The population of the study was 140 respondents which were drawn from three local NGOs in Garbaharey District using the Sloven’s formula. This study used standardized questionnaire to collect data, Findings of this study showed that Democratic leadership has mostly positive impact in Garbaharey District with some negative impact. Organizational Improvement has positive impact to the community district from local NGOs, NGOs Democratic Leadership is good when there is no central government. Findings also indicated some conflicts in the area but indicated rural improvement of the district. The study further found out’ that people are currently suffering conflicts between them c in Garbaharey District, Recommendations based in the findings of the study includes that local democratic leaders should focus how to solve ongoing wars in the country, and initiate policies which guide community in the area, Also to address more issues on improvement in the area, Community democratic leaders must improve their skills in leadership in order improve the district, And lastly the community elders should encourage their followers to achieve their goals.
