This study was mainly aimed at finding out the relationship between drug abuse among youths and school dropouts in Nawanyago Sub-County-Kamuli District. This study used qualitative statistics and quantitative approaches in order to come up with valid information on the relationship between the variables under investigation. This study aimed to identify the effect of alcohol consumption on school dropout among the youth of Nawanyago sub-county in Kamuli district, to identi& the effect of cigarette smoking on school dropout among the youth of Nawanyago sub-county in Kamuli district, and to find out the effect of Marijuana Consumption on school dropout among youth of Nawanyago sub-county in Kamuli district. According to the findings, both males and females participated in the study. This is an indication that gender equality was taken care off so the findings therefore cannot be doubted on gender grounds; they can be relied for decision making. The respondents were well educated and the information obtained from them could be relied on for the purpose of this study. Moreover, the majority of the respondents were mature hence the information obtained from them could be trusted and looked at as true and a good representation of the information the researcher was looking for. The findings show that people in Nawanyago sub-County are very much aware of the negative impacts of drug abuse but no serious action and research had been undertaken. Furthermore, the findings show that there is need for civic education of the parents aimed at sensitizing them on how to caution their children about the dangerous impacts of taking drugs like alcohol, marijuana among others
