    Investigation on socio-economic factors influencing child-rearing practices among single mother parents in Magarini zone, Malindi district Kenya

    During the study the researcher found out that there is a number of challenges and constraints facing single mothers at Magarini zone in Malindi District. The challenges have negatively affected child-rearing especially on behaviour patterns. It was also observed that majority of the SNE teachers are not trained to the satisfactory levels. The study aimed at finding out socio-economic factors influencing child learning practices among single mother parents below the age of 35 years in Magarini zone. Questionnaires were distributed to the targeted population and where respondents were illiterate, assistance was provided by the researcher such interpretation of the research questions. The respondents were so single mother and so SNE teachers.
