Abstract
In the above study of social -economics problems faced by learners who are HIV/ AIDS orphans ,the aim of the researcher was to investigate and find out ways which the government uses to curb down the fast increasing number of orphans to , to find out the social economic problems faced by learners who are HIV/ AIDS orphans ,to establish possible solutions to the social-economic challenges faced by HIV/AIDS orphans ,to find out the negative impacts faced by learners whom are HIV/ AIDS orphans to assess how the churches play their role in fighting HIV/ AIDS and to spell out the role of the teacher in the education of HIV/ AIDS orphans. To gather this information questionnaire were used to collect the information .The research revealed that those orphans faced o lot of problems ranging from lack of basic needs ,parental guidance and role model ,social stigma. The children received much spiritual support and had different care -givers. It was therefore vital to have a lasting solution by helping these children through giving them guidance and counseling services, good health care, good role model and encouragement in order to cope up with the strains of their lives. The church need to take its rightful role of compassionate care in order for these children to survive without much strain.
