Abstract: The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of training on staff performance among civil servants in Ibanda municipal council, western Uganda. The objectives of the study were; to examine the role of training on staff performance among civil servants in Ibanda Municipal council, to examine how training needs of organizational are determined in Ibanda municipal council and to examine the challenges faced by the organization in training the employees in Ibanda municipal council.
