State formation and national security in north east Africa
(Kampala International University, 2021-11) Mansour *, Arbab; Younis Omar, Asiimwe; Solomon, Muchwa; Charles, Edaku
The purpose of this study was to look into State Formation and National Security in Africa: A Case Study of Sudan. The study assumed that, despite the fact that Sudan has institutions built through the process of State formation to protect the State of Sudan; its national security is continuously threatened. Sudan has only had peace for a decade since its independence in January 1956, and it has already lost one-third of its territory. Sudan's national institutions have failed to deal with local disputes, which have widened again, and international institutions have either perpetuated the interests of aliens, as faced during State formation, or have exacerbated societal, environmental, and political threats through policies based on assistance provided. The respondents who took part recommended that constitutions be created as a result of citizen participation to specify the functions of institutions that protect national security; there should be national identity through national language and unity, involvement and equality in resource distribution, and equality before the law

Survey on general awareness, mental state and academic difficulties among students due to COVID-19 outbreak in the western regions of Uganda
(Kampala International University, 2020-12) Meji, M. Abisha; Dennison, Milon Selvam
This academic research is carried out to access the general awareness, mental state and academic difficulties among different age groups of students studying in various schools, colleges, or Universities during this lockdown period due to the COVID-19 crisis in the western regions of Uganda. An aggregate of 405 students participated in this survey. Among them 253 students are from rural regions, 59 students are from semi-urban regions and 93 students are from urban regions. This survey is classified into three sections: the first section spotlights the perceptive level of students about the COVID-19 crisis, the second section emphasizes the mental state of students and the final section highlights the academic difficulties faced by the students during this lockdown period. A statistical run is deliberated with the aid of SPSS version 20 software to evaluate the significance level (P-Value<0.05) of each question among the localities.

Lean Concepts and Methods : 3P
(International Journal of Scientific Research in Computer Science, Engineering and Information Technology, 2016) Yusuf, Abdulfatah Abdu1; Onu, Peter
Nowadays competitive business environments, introduce new products of the global market, ahead of the competition and evaluate optimized procurement of goods from the global point of view, are essential. Accomplish businesses develop and strengthen their market position by manufacturing the highest quality of finish products more efficiently, at the minimum cost, and bringing them to market rapidly. Review the development step of a new product and need to start production preparation process (3P) based on Just-in-Time (JIT) within a small amount of time and in a timely fashion. Production Preparation Process 3P is an advanced lean approach required simulation, visual thinking, and kaizen for quick design for manufacturability. This work focuses on to minimize wastage of product, process design and used to eliminate waste in existing processes. However, this method is using within companies such as metals, petro- chemical, automobile industry and similar industries due to the demand for new products have increased. The reason for this research was to show the lean concepts, which can be efficient, effectively planned and managed.

3D Printing Technology – Applications, Benefits and areas of opportunity in Nigeria
    (IJAAR, 2017-03) Oluwole, Raji, Ibrahim
Three-dimensional (3D) printing technology, often referred to as additive manufacturing differs from traditional manufacturing processes in that 3D objects are built by successively creating layers of material on top of each other. Since development in 1980s, 3D printing has undergone technological transformation that could fundamentally alter production processes in a wide set of applicable areas. Despite the accelerated advancement, both in academic research and industrial application that 3D printing technology has witnessed in diverse areas of human endeavor especially in advanced countries; the technology is relatively at its infant stage in developing countries like Nigeria. Thus, this work attempts to address the underrepresentation of research that is specifically concerned with the impacts that 3D printing can make in diverse sectors in developing countries like Nigeria. It addresses this issue by focusing its investigations on the applications of the technology, derivable benefits from the application of the technology as well as diverse areas where 3D printing can present a great deal of opportunities for Nigeria.
