Abstract
The main purpose of the study was to establish factors that lead to female sexual harassment in urban areas. the study was of case study design because the researcher wanted a clear understanding of the subject of sexual harassment. thirty (30) house hold respondent s and 20 key informants were select to participate in the study. the study finds indicated that the cause of sexual harassment ranges from social, economic and environmental factors. the results of the study also revealed that there are many women who are being subjected to sexual harassment the major effect of sexual harassment was annoyance and the most recognized danger was acquiring of sexually transmitted diseases such as aids. the major recommendation was that both the government and the employers should put in place strict laws against sexual harassment.
