The research revealed that local taxes collected include, Licenses, Market fees, special assessment and local service tax. The research also found out that the biggest reason for collecting local taxes is to regulate business operations and it was also discovered that hatred between business operator and revenue collectors was the biggest challenge in the business. Prom the study, findings indicated that taxes collected from small scale businesses are used to provide better services like roads and increase government revenue which could not hinder the positive performance of micro businesses because taxes levied on them are reasonable but methods used in assessment are not good and some of business operator are not sensitized about the use of the taxes.
