Abstract
Conducting and compiling this research study has been challenging but quite an educative experience. Challenging in the sense that both time and money was not easy to come by. However, it was gratifying to enter into the world of the most neglected individuals; the mentally retarded learners. Being in their midst, researching and recording about them will always be a worthwhile lifetime experience. The work is organized into five major parts as indicated in the table of contents. All the stake holders are therefore encouraged to look at this work in relation to other related studies in order to enrich their knowledge on the importance of education to the mental retarded learners. It is my wish that all will team up to make life bearable for those disadvantaged children.
