dc.description.abstract | The research was carried out to find the Right to reproductive health-women’s access and use of family planning services in Malangala sub-county, Mityana district. The objectives of the study were; to assess the challenges women face in accessing family planning services, to assess women knowledge of existing family planning services in Malangala sub-county and to establish the level of family planning service usage by women in Malangala. The study adopted a case study design on both qualitative and quantitative aspects. This method was preferred because it was an ideal method that could ease the collection of information from the respondents at both individual and group levels. The research designs were descriptive in nature. The research findings were displayed in table form which has figures in percentage form. The researcher concluded that the ICESCR to which Uganda is a state party states that everyone has rights with regard to health Article 12.2a with a focus on maternal and reproductive health and article 2 of the UDHR that states that rights should apply to all human beings without any discrimination based on gender or race. The study recommended the MOH and NGOs that deal in reproductive health and family planning, funds should and must be injected in this area of Malangala in Mitiyana so the above problem can be solved. In my opinion, not a lot of money is need though the first step to be taken is sensitization of the masses both the women and men about the Right to family planning use and access. | en_US |
