Abstract
The research was aimed at investigating and elaborating the Impacts of internal control
on performance appraisal of employees, a case study of Stanbic Bank, Mityana.
The objectives of the study were: to find out Impact of internal control on the actual
performance concept on employees , to identify the impacts of perfmmance appraisal on
the overall performance of employees of Stanbic Banlc and to draw indicative summaries
of this on the actual performance indicators within the sector.
The research was done within Stanbic Banlc, Mityana branch where data collection as
through interviews .with stakeholders, questionnaires, observations, library and internet.
Stratified random sampling procedures were used to select the sample. The researcher
used frequency distribution tables in the analysis findings.
It is evident froin the research that there is a relationship between the impact on internal
control on perfo1mance appraisal in the institution and this was shown by various
researches and references that were used throughout the study.
It is therefore generally understood that performance appraisal plays a huge role in
dete1mining the performance of employees. A strong emphasis is laid down in the
financial position of the business especially at all its performance stage to create a holistic
perfmmance concept with an external internal control measure within itself.
