    Governance and capacity building in selected public sectors in Hargeysa Somali Land

    This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between governance and Capacity building in Public sectors in Hargeysa Somaliland. The study was guided by four objectives as follow; to determine the profile of respondents in terms of age, gender, educational level and level of experiences, to determine the level of governance in Somaliland, to determine the level of capacity building in public sectors in Hargeysa Somaliland and finally to determine if there is a significant relationship between the level of governance and the level of capacity building in public sectors in Hargeysa Somaliland. The study applied a descriptive and co relational research designs to obtain the required and necessary information and pertaining data where the target population of the study was 160 from which 114 respondents were selected to receive the pertaining information. The study revealed that there is a strong relationship between governance and Capacity building in public sector in Hargeysa Somaliland, showing the in effective governing system which hiders the capacity of public servants in Hargeysa Somaliland. The researcher recommends that a strong governing system should be established to overcome governing obstacles in Hargeysa local government, Somaliland. There should also be consistent and helpful training provided to all public servants in Hargeysa Somaliland.
