    Training and the performance of staff of selected telecommunication company in Borma district, Somaliland

    The study investigated the relationship between training and staff work performance of the selected telecommunication companies in Borama, Somaliland. The study sough to establish and recommend the kind of relationship that should exist the training and performance of employee of selected companies. The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between training and performance of employee of selected companies in Borama. The study was guided by four research objectives. The first objectives was to determine the levels of training of employees of selected telecommunication companies, the second objectives was to determine the levels of performance of employees of selected telecommunication companies, the third objectives was to determine the factors that affect training rather than the work performance, the last, was to determine the relationship between training and performance. The study was carried out through cross- sectional research design. Data was collected in between November and December, 2011, using questionnaire, from 80 selected respondents from the selected telecommunication companies. The researcher analyzed the data using the descriptive statistical mean, percentage, frequencies and presented in tables.
