Effective use of contraception can prevent unwanted pregnancy, maternal mortality and STIs among females. Unmet need for contraception in developing world and rates of unintended pregnancy among young women is high. Aim of the Study: To assess the factors affecting family planning utilization among females aged 15-49 years in Hodan district, Mogadishu, Somalia. Methods: A quantitative descriptive survey was conducted among 424 females who permanently live in Hodan district in the capital city Mogadishu, Somalia. Questionnaire was used to collect data with the help of two trained research assistants.
