    Conflict and peace process in Somalia

    The objectives of the study was to indentify the conflict and peace process in Somali to determine the profile of the respondents as to Gender Age Education number of year and position of organization to analyze the underlying causes of the conflict in Somalia to analyze how can the Somali conflict be resolved. In gathering information the research study employed both primary and secondary sources, The primary sources through distributed questionnaire the secondary were the literature work and internet This study employed descriptive survey design, data were collected purposely from Mogadishu in selecting the respondents and area of sample,the researcher used two sample techniques purposive and stratified , the scope of the study was conducted in Mogadishu. A sample size of 98 respondents were selected out of population of 130 using Slovein formula. The result of these findings confirmed that the origin of Somali conflict were struggle for power and resources, oppression of the government and the colonial legacy. The researcher concluded that the war, to be abolished, must be understood their roots. to, be understood, it must be studied. The study recommends that central government should work hand-in-hand with local community to reactivate local people to begin peace process and social security and capacity building and local community The people at local level must attempt to get more information about peace process system that benefit them and use their right to participating in their own services.
