    The impact of guidance and counseling on the behavior of girl in primaryschools in kigumba sub county kiryandongo district

    The study of this report is about the effects of counseling and guidance on behaviors of girls in primary schools in Kigumba Sub County, Kiryandongo district. It is directed by the following specific objectives; to identify the problems facing girls in primary schools, to investigate whether there is guidance and counseling in primary schools, and identify effects of guidance and counseling in primary schools. The study was descriptive where stratified sampling was used to select population. It employed a total sample of 50 respondents as indicated in chapter four. Data were analyzed and presented using statistical methods of data presentation where percentages were integrated into tables. It was found out that the problems were lack of self confidence, external barriers, parental influences, issues relating to teachers, personality factor, loss of relief and isolation. Among the recommendation given are: provision of scholastic materials, increase in teachers' remuneration, provision of lunch by schools, complete and clear curriculum, and need to sensitize the community
