    Decentralization and local government performance in selected public sectors in Hargeisa, Somaliland

    This study was carried out to determine Decentralization and Local government Performance in Selected Public Sectors in Hargeisa Somaliland, the study was guided by our objectives: To determine the demographic characteristics of the respondents, To md out the level of decentralization and local government performance in selected Public sectors in Hargeisa Somaliland, to determine the level of local government Performance in public sectors, to establish whether there is a relationship between tecentralization and local government performance in public sectors. The study used cross-sectional correlation design where 100 questionnaires were listributed out of a population of 1000 individuals. Frequencies and percentage were ised the use of statistical package for Social sciences. The study found out that the Somaliland based on the analysis of chapter four he findings exposed that the most of the respondents agreed, that decentralization icrease the level of performance in selected public sectors as showed the mean (2.50 food) which indicate the majority of the respondents agreed that the decentralization iiproves performance of local government. On the other hand, these findings the null hiypothesis of the researcher was rejected, which leads to a conclusion that the two rariables decentralization and local government performance in selected public sectors -ì Hargeisa Somaliland.
