    Pre-marital sex and school dropout in secondary schools a case study of Nyantungo & Butiiti sub counties Kyenjojo District

    The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between pre marital sex and school dropout in Nyantungo and Butiti sub counties Kyenjojo district, Uganda. The specific objectives of this study were to establish the respondents profile, investigate effect of pre-marital sex on school dropout; to suggest ways on how the problem can be redressed or solved. The findings were presented and interpreted in relation to the study objectives and research questions. While linking to the existing literature, results included demographic characteristics frequency and percentages. Based on the findings it was observed that students/children mostly with a single parent are more affected (vulnerable). In chapter five, development of solutions to the problem summary of the findings and conclusions were attempted. The findings suggested that the government should empower poor families and single parents if the problem is to educe. This was reached after realizing that single parents mostly are poor and cannot fully support their children in schools. This causing pre-marital sex and eventual school dropout.
