    Teachers' Motivation and Academic Performance of Primary School Pupils in Amu Zone, Lamu West District, Kenya

    This study was intended to assess the relationship between teachers' motivation and academic performance of pupils in primary schools in Amu zone and suggest possible solutions to curb the problem. All secondary sources were revisited which in this case included magazines, journals and text books which contained data related to the problem. A descriptive design was adopted for this study and questionnaires served as the main instruments of the study. Data collected was sorted, coded and prepared for analysis. Percentages and frequencies formed the basis of the presentation of the findings from the study. The findings revealed that there was a positive correlation between motivation and teachers' performance. It was recommended that due attention had to be placed on the development of the human resource capital.
