    Women Entrepreneurship Development Programs and Growth of Women Entrepreneurs in Gasabo District, Rwanda

    The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between women entrepreneurship development programs and growth of women entrepreneurs in Kimironko Central Market, Gasabo district, Rwanda. While establishing the purpose of the study, the study determined the profile of the respondents; level of effectiveness of women entrepreneurship development programs; level of growth of women entrepreneurs; and lastly, the study established the relationship between women entrepreneurship development programs and growth of women entrepreneurship in Kim iron ko Market, Gasa bo district. The study employed descriptive correlation design and using SLOVEN’s formula the study sample 118 respondents from 168 targeted populations and the sampling was done by the use random sampling and purposive sampling. The study used self-administered questionnaires as research instrument and the study ensured validity and reliability of instruments using Content Validity Index. The researcher followed all the ethical and logistic considerations of research. Data was analyzed in both qualitative and quantitatively using statistical techniques such as mean, standard deviations and correlation matrix. Findings of the study indicated that the women entrepreneurship development programs in Gasabo District are effective at overall mean value of 2.54. Additionally, the level of growth of women entrepreneurs in Kimironko Central Market is high at the overall mean value of 2.51.
