    Learning materials, physical facilities and performance of pupils in selected primary schools in Kithangari zone of Imenti South District, Kenya

    The study aimed at establishing the effect of learning materials, physical facilities on performance of pupils in selected primary school in Kithangari zone of imenti south district was carried out. The study was specifically guided by these objectives; to find out the relationship between text books and pupils performance, determine the relationship between the library and pupils performance, and establish the relationship between classrooms and pupil’s performance. The study used is descriptive correctional survey design with both qualitative and quantitative aspect. Simple random and purposive sampling techniques were used to select the respondents. The study discover that the schools which had enough text books, well stocked library, well-built classrooms, toilet and stores performed better than the schools without proper learning and physical facilities. The study concluded that whenever learning facilities are poor performance is affected directly The studies recommend the government to support private and public primary schools to equip school with modern learning materials and to construct better library and the other facilities to improve performance
