    Socio-cultural factors and inclusive education in higher learning institutions in Rwanda

    The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between socio-cultural factors and inclusive education of disabled students in higher institutions of learning in Rwanda and how they relate to each other. The Specific objectives of the study were; to determine the profile of respondents in terms of age, gender, institution, year of study for students and experience for staff of the institution, to determine the extent of socio-cultural factors basing on (a) disabled students views and (b) staff of the institution, to assess the level of inclusive education in higher learning institutions in Rwanda, to determine the relationship between extent of socio-cultural factors and the level of inclusive education in higher learning institutions in Rwanda. The study was carried out in Rwanda specifically in the selected higher institutions of learning in Rwanda that have the inclusive education namely National University of Rwanda (NUR) and the Kigali Institute of Education (KIE).
