    Child labour the law on employment vis-avis child labour: a case study of Mbale Municipality

    This research was undertaken to collect data on child laobour in Uganda with climate goal of designing interventions and laws for addressing child labour. This research was a cross sectional studies undertaken in one district mostly the municipality of Mbale. The research reveals a number of factors fueling child labour recruitment of children fit soldiering, methods of recruitment and how is it against the law on employment, At reign there are various loopholes in the legal mechanism to address child labour, activities have been identified. In the proposed strategy including law reform and training, victim support, sustained media campaigns, poverty eradication and education among others in addition there is need for stakeholders to work together through a coordinated approach because the problems and needs presented by involving government, civil society communities and children.
