    Personnel decentralization and performance of local government in Bududa district Uganda

    The study examined the effect of Personnel Decentralization on the performance of district local government in Bududa District Uganda. The study was guided by the following objectives (i) To assess the nature of personnel decentralization in Bududa district (ii) To examine the challenges of personnel decentralization in local government of Bududa District (iii) To establish the relationship between personnel decentralization on Local government performance in Bududa District. The study was carried out in local government in Bududa district Bududa District is located in the Eastern Region of Uganda, bordering the Republic of Kenya in the East the District of Sironko in the North-East and Mbale District in the west. The target population of the study was fifty (50) people who comprised of twenty (20) employees of Bududa local government, ten (10) politicians at the district and twenty (20) opinion leaders.
