FredThe study correlates the teachers training and handling of special needs children in Suba central division, Migori District, Kenya, it sought to answer purposes and objectives (i) what is the profile of the respondents (2) what is the level of teacher training (3) what is the level of handling special needs learners (4) is there a significant relationship between the level of teacher training and level of handling special needs children. Using descriptive correlation survey design and with a sample size of 80 head teachers and teachers selected from special units schools in Suba —central; division Kenya, the study found out that there is low teachers training especially on how to handle special needs children in schools within Suba —central division. Head teachers and teachers should improve their skills of handling special needs learners by attending different training courses and workshops on special needs education. The major finding of this research was that most teachers who handle special needs children do not understand their needs and how to deal with most cases and therefore training is very important to teachers. Government through ministry of education to make sure that every primary and secondary school have at least 2O% of teaching staff trained as special needs teachers to professional handle special needs learners.
