(Kampala International University; College of Education Open and Distance Learning, 2010-04) Kipturmet, Real
To assess the relationship between teachers motivation and academic performance of pupils in primary schools in Chapchap zone and suggest possible solutions to curb the problem. All secondary sources viewed relevant to this study were revisited and this helped the researcher get a clear picture of what the entire study was to entail. A descriptive design was employed in the study since the entire study was about a description of an event or scenario. Questionnaires served as the main instruments of the study and after collecting data from the respondents, such data were sorted, coded, analyzed and presented in tables. The findings from the study revealed that there was a relationship between motivation and teachers performance. Recommendations were made which called for improved and increment in human capital investment as this could be the only way of having an improvement in the academic performance of learners.
