    Employee performance evaluation and organizational development in legal institutions within Kampala District

    This study was about performance evaluation and organizational development in legal institutions within Kampala district. It was meant to look at the levels of performance evaluation and organizational development in the selected institutions as well as the relationship between performance evaluation and organizational development. Based on this background, this study was done within three selected. Institutions within Kampala district, namely; Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity, Uganda Human Rights Commission and Uganda Association of Women Lawyers. To this effect, the sample of this study was 101 to whom questionnaires were given. Key informants were also identified and interviewed during the process in order to gather effective information. Final data was collected and tabulated with use of SPSS program for better understanding. The study revealed high levels of performance evaluation and organizational development as well as the fact that performance evaluation and organizational development had a significant relationship. The study recommends that this process of performance evaluation not only be further deliberately revamped and turned into a motivational tool but that other factors affecting organizational development be looked at and used as tools as well for better organization development levels.
