    The impact of domestic violence among women in selected villages in Bubaare Sub- County, Kabale District, Uganda

    The purpose of the study was to examine the impact of domestic violence among women in selected villages of Bubaare Sub County, Kabaale district. The study was guided by the following objectives, 1) to examine the causes of domestic violence among women in selected villages in Bubaare sub- county of Kabale District, 2) to examine the prevention strategies used to fight domestic violence among the women in selected villages in Bubaare sub- county of Kabale District 3) to examine the impacts of domestic violence among the women in selected villages in Bubaare sub- County in Kabale District. And 4) to find out the various types of domestic violence in selected villages in Bubaare sub-county in Kabale district. The study employed descriptive correlation design in its methodology and the study findings included that the respondents (100%) were female this therefore indicated that the researcher only used females in investigating on the impact of domestic violence among selected women in Bubaare Sub- County of Kabuli District, Uganda, secondary leavers with 44%, 19% are primary leavers While 25% of the respondents were diploma holders and lastly 12% were degree holders respectively. 37% of the respondents who filled in the questionnaire were between the age brackets of 41-50 years, 44 % of the respondents were between the ages of 21 — 30 years and lastly 19% of the respondents were between the age group of 31 — 40 years,44% of the respondents were married, 14% of respondents were single, 25% of the respondents were divorced and only 16% of the respondents were widowed. The study recommended that Education and outreach should be established and more effective program for preventing domestic- violence at home. Reduction in the supply of drugs, Sensitization, Dealing with peer pressure, and Deal with life pressure and Seek help for mental illness.
