    The relationship between rapid population growth and socio-economic development. Case study of Jinja district

    The study was carried out 1n Jinja district; it aimed at assessing the relationship between rapid population growth and the socio-economic development and see whether it has contributed or hindered development in the district. This dissertation comprises of five chapters. Chapter one starts with the background of the study which analyzed the rate of population growth of the country each year. The study explores how increased population growth constrains the course of socio-economic development. Objectively the study finds out how high population affects development. Chapter two of the dissertation gives in depth the review of the related literature on the topic at hand. Chapter three put focus on the research methodology that the researcher used. It contains research design, study area, data collection instruments, data sampling and analysis which I used during the course of the study. Chapter four focused on the presentation, analysis and discussion of the findings. Finally chapter five gave the summary, conclusion and the recommendation to the research.
