    Effects of the integration of computers in the teaching and learning of a topic on students' attitude and achievement. a case study of form two students at St. Brigids girls' high School, trans-Nzoia west district, Kenya

    An experimental research design was adopted entailing the randomized Solomon four group design two experimental groups were pre tested and then exposed to treatment followed by post test. Two other experimental groups were pre tested but treated then post tested. Two control groups were pre tested followed by no treatment and then post tested while two other control groups were neither pre tested nor treated but only exposed to post test The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of integration of computers in the teaching and learning on students• attitude and achievement in physics. The study was conducted at St. Brigids Girls" high school in Trans-Nzoia west district of Rill-Valley Province of Kenya. The population of the study comprised form two students from St. Bngids Girls" lligh School. Simple random sampling was used to select the students which produced a sample of60 students who participated in-the stl1dy. The students were then randomly assigned to four experimental and four control groups and the students in all the groups were exposed to the same questions and test. Data was collected by the use of two students• questionnaire and students physics achievement test. Data was analyzed using both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics involved using means. Percentages and standard deviation while inferential statistics involved using the students’ test. The findings from this study showed that there is a significant change in attitude and improvement 111 physics’ when students integrate computer Ill the teaching and learning of physics.
