The study was carried out in National Insurance Corporation in Kampala Central division and was guided by the following objectives, to assess the role of motivation in facilitating performance in National Insurance Corporation, to examine the ways in which job satisfaction enhances organizational performance in NIC, to find out the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance in NIC and to determine the challenges that affect job satisfaction in NIC. A sample of 46 employees were selected and these included managers, officers, drivers and office assistants. The study used a correlational study design with both qualitative methods of data analysis. Random sampling method was used in choosing respondents for the study. The findings of the study revealed that there is a very significant relationship between job satisfaction and organizational performance which showed that job satisfaction can directly influence organizational performance as a result of contentment that may arise in the organization. A significant 90% of the respondents were in agreement to this. Basing on these findings, the researcher recommends that the employers should always take time to clear the air of misunderstandings and tensions by the employees. The employers should take responsibility of empowering his employees with the spirit of concern and support. Build trust through managerial competence and ethical behavior. Create a workforce that is both interesting and enjoyable. Inspiring the subordinates and providing them with tools that facilitate their progress are fundamental in channeling their efforts towards the organization’s advancement
