    Micro-finance services on the performance of micro enterprises in Makindye Division- Kampala Capital City.

    This study explored the effect of micro-finance services on perlcln11ance of micro enterprises. The study specifically looked at the effect of micro-credit. micro-linance institutions savings mobilisation and business development sen·ices on the performance of Micro enterprises (MEs). A cross-sectional study design for quantitative and qualitative analysis was used on 243 respondents that provided data. Data were collected by use of a self-administered questionnaire, and interview guide. Quantitative data were analysed at univariate level basing on the mean and frequencies. bivariate level using correlation coefficient and multivariate using multiple linear regression with the help of Stntistical Package l(n· Social Sciences 17.0 (SPSS). Qualitative data were analysed by content analysis by composing explanations and substantiating them 11sing the respondents open responses. The study n1icro-crcdit affected the perfOnnancc of 1\1icrn enterprises (MEs): micro-finance institutions savings mobilisntion affected performance of Micro enterprises (1\llEs): and micro-finance institution business development scn·ices affccted the perl(>rmancc of Micro enterprises (MEs). It was concluded that micm-credit had a signilicant positi1·e relationship with pcrl(mmmcc iviEs: micro institutions savings mobilisation lwd a signilicant posili1·c relationship 11ith perl[lrmance ~·IEs and micro-linanec· Jllstituti<>n sen ic·es had a signilicant positi1c rc·latit'nship with pcrl(mnancc of Micro enterprises (fV!Es). Thus. it was 1·ccommended that the government should oiTcr increased support to t\!Fls in order to increase their capacity to extend l credit to iVIEs: micro-linance institutions should adopt more· dynamic sa1 ings practices to help increase i'v!Es saw:: monev: and the gm·cn1ment should support micro-lirwnce institutions to offer increased business den::lopment sen·1ces to ivlicro enterprises (MEs).
