    An online student admission, registration and results processing system for private university :a case study of Kampala international university main campus

    This project report is about an Online Student Registration, Admission and Result Processing System of Kampala International University used as our case study. This University was displaying student results manually on notice boards, admitting students to the university paper based only and registering students’ paper based. This of course came with its flaws; like long queues, bad storage of student’s records and no privacy for student results. The researchers implemented various methods of data collection whilst attempting to foresee a solution for the current systems shortfalls. These methods varied in the form of interviews, questionnaires and observation. MySQL server was used to develop the back end database application; while the front-end interface was developed with Macromedia Drearnweaver in Conjunction with Macromedia Fireworks to come up with a system that could solve the current problem Implementation of the system was highly considered when the system was being developed. This system achieves most of the objectives, and the main project goal of this project is to create an Online Student Registration, Admission and Result Processing System which should omit all or most of the problems incurred in the current system. We recommend this system to be implemented for it would assist in the enrollment of more students and the efficiency of keeping application forms and the display of student results.
