- ItemThe impact of employee welfare on organizational performance of industries in Juba city: A case study of petroleum industry(College of Humanities and Social Sciences, 2014-12) Maluth Dhieu, SimonThis research was based on the impact of employee welfare on organizational performance of industries in Juba city and the case study was at Petroleum industry The researcher was interested in this topic because the welfare of employees in industries has not been put in to consideration which has made many of the organizations in Juba not to perform to their maximum in providing social services to the people. The methods used by the researcher to collect data included research design, sample selection, interviews, self-administered questionnaires and these were basically categorized basing on the questions set by the researcher. The major findings indicated that 66 7% of the respondents were of the opinion that welfare measures affect their performance at work and this has caused the employee to perform poorly resulting from lack of motivation, over working, poor working environment and this has hindered the organization to perform to its maximum. However it is urged that employees should receive allowances, housing for those companies who provides transportation, medical, insurance, food and employees have a rights to demand (Michael Armstrong, 2001) Some of the recommendations made by the researcher in this report include further research to be conducted on the impact of motivation on the performance of employees in the organizations, the impact of team work on employee performance in organization, employee motivation in local government
