    Supply chain management and organizational performance: a case study of Demafreight Logistics Limited, Kampala

    Effective supply chain management (SCM) has become a potentially valuable way of securing competitive advantage and improving organizational performance since competition is no longer bet11een organizations, but among supply chains. This research conceptualizes and develops three dimensions of SCM practice (strategic supplier partnership. customer relationship, information sharing.) and tests the relationships bet11een SCM practices. competitive advantage, and organizational performance. Data tor the study were collected l!·om 50 respondents. summarized into tables and presented by graphs and ligures. lhc results indicate that higher levels of SCM practice can lead to enhanced competitive a(l\antage and improved organizational performance. Also. competitive advantage can have a direct. positive impact on organizational performance. This therefore proves the relationship between the two (SCM and organizational performance). This research further highlights the changes that in most times hinder the implementation of these SCM Practices, and recommendations to curb them thereof highlighted.
