    The right to health in Uganda a case study of Masaka municipality

    The research was based on the concern of establishing whether the right to health in Uganda was a myth or reality in Masaka municipality The researcher was anxious to carry out a study due to the observation of the situation that demonstrated persistent complaints against the health sector from a big population in the country. Thus the need and desire to analyze, conclude and recommend on the same subject and geographical scope. The study participants included citizens (police officers, LC Chairperson, lawyers among others) in Masaka municipality. In data gathering the researcher used primary and secondary data from books, internet, articles and journals. Questionnaires were designed to collect the information from respondents that were set in review of the study objectives. The results from the questionnaires revealed that the right to health was a reality. It was recommended that the government should ensure better health services, fight corruption and bribery, increase the number of health professionals, fix strict rules against health abusers, ensure proper planning, massive sensitization of the public about health, and also to improve on the remuneration of health workers to improve on the health sector so as give people their full right to health in Masaka municipality
