The study was guided by three specific objectives; to establish the criteria used for supplier evaluation in Local Government in Uganda; to find out the challenges of implementing Supplier Evaluation, and to determine the relationship between Supplier Evaluation Criteria and procurement Performance in Local Government in Uganda. It study employed a descriptive research design. The target population for the study was 53 respondents. Questionnaires were the main data collection instrument and the analysis was undertaken using SPSS sofiware version 22. Findings revealed that Local Government in Uganda base their selection on a variety of criteria including but not limited to; quality, financial position, flexibility, supplier technical capability, and compliance with procurement procedures. The study therefore recommended that Local Government in Uganda need to effectively evaluate the most effective evaluation criteria that would facilitate achievement of value for money.
