    The major purpose of the study was to investigate the impact of poverty on early childhood education in Embakasi division Nairobi Kenya. The specific objectives (if the study were to investigate the impact of poverty on academic performance of early childhood education in Embakasi division Nairobi Kenya, Assess the impact of poverty on the health and development of children to determine the impact of poverty on the enrollment and attendance of early childhood The study revealed that Poverty affects the academic performance of learners; Children fall sick due to poverty and hence perform poor in school, Children lack learning resources and hence perform poorly and early childhood lacks teachers and hence children perform poorly the study revealed that; Because of poverty children fall sick, Poverty leading to malnutrition, poverty leads to mental sickness and Because of poverty children do not develop well.
