    Role of mass media in promoting democracy in Uganda: a case study of Foundation for Human Rights Initiative

    The study examined the “Role of mass media in promotion of democracy in Uganda a case study of FURl” The study was carried out in FHRI is human rights NGO promoting democratic rule and good governance in Uganda found in Nsarnbya, Makindye division of Kampala city of Uganda. The study achieved the following objectives; to establish the role of media in promotion of good governance, to establish the role of media in promotion of human rights, to identify the characteristics of democracy in Uganda. The researcher adopted the case study research design and correlation study design which explored the Role of mass media in promotion of democracy in Uganda. Data was collected from a sample of 5Orespondents in using self-administered questionnaires and was later analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient (r).
