    Motivation and Academic Performance of Learners in Irabari Primary School Kiritiri Zone, Mbeere District. Kenya.

    The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between motivation and academic performance. The specific objectives of the study were to determine the level of academic performance and determine if there is any significant relationship between motivation and academic performance. The methods used for data collection were questionnaires to the learners. The findings revealed that motivation is very important in academic performance. The research recommended that the teachers training colleges should train teachers, providing enough skill and methodology to motivate the learners. Those in the station should be in-serviced for better teaching. The research was conducted Irabari primary school Mbeere District and involved learners in the upper primary. Random sampling was used as they were too many and each had an equal opportunity
