    Employees sue IUIU over contract

    The acting secretary of the Islamic University of Uganda (IUIU), Yusufu Katono, has dragged the university to High Court over purported defamation and discrimination. Katono filed the suit against the university and the assistant university secretary Rashid Kinsambwe, at Mbale High Court on April 3.

    MUBs guild opposes 15% tuition policy

    Makerere University Business School (MUBS) guild council wants 15% tuition increment in public universities reviewed. Addressing the media yesterday at MUBS in Nakawa, Kampala, guild president Romulas Tusingwire said the increment ought to be revised because it could lead to higher number of school dropouts.

    Ntagali urges graduates to create jobs

    The outgoing Arch Bishop of Church of Uganda, Stanley Ntagali, has advised graduates to avoid idlers and instead, put into skills and knowledge acquired to create jobs for themselves and others. Ntagali was on Saturday speaking while presiding over the fifth graduation ceremony Bbira Vocational Training (BVTI), at the campus premises in Wakiso District.
