    The impact of universal primary education (U.P.E) programe on academic performance of the government aided primary schools in Bulongo Subcount Yiganga District

    The study was carried out to establish a report on the positive impact of universal primary education (UPE) programme on academic performance in primary schools selected in Bulongo sub country Iganga district. The following were the aims formulated by the researcher- • To find out the positive impact of UPE on academic performance in primary schools. • To identify the factors that influences good performance in (UPE) schools. • To suggest the possibility ways of how the (UPE) children should benefit equally regardless of ability or family background and geographical creation. The respondents selected were - teachers, pupils, parents and Head teachers of the selected primary schools. The main instruments used were questionnaire guides, interview guides and observation to collect all the relevant data.
