    The need of value for money audit in public sector: a case study of Ministry of lands and human settlements development Tanzania

    This study, which is about the need of value for money audit in public sector, was carried out at MLHSD, Headquarter Dares salaam. The research took the period of 60 days (two months) The intention of the study was to assess the importance of value for money audit in achieving the economy, efficiency and effectiveness in public sector. The first chapter delves on the introduction consisting of background of the problem, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research hypothesis and conceptual framework. The second chapter focuses on the literature review of the research topic. This will unveil the theoretical aspect of the topic to be researched. The review will also include the conclusions by other researchers on the similar problem. The third chapter specify the research methodology to be used; which consists of the area of the study, sample and. sampling methods to be used and data collection methods. The fourth chapter concentrates on the presentation and analysis of the findings obtained from the study. The fifth chapter consists of conclusion and recommendation of the researcher based on the findings.
