In this era there is need to strengthen and improve the sensitization in order to reduce on the spread of HIV/ AIDS in universities. Full sensitization none the less cannot be fully achieved without the availability of funds. The availability of funds forms a strong foundation to successful sensitization. This report is an attempt to enlighten on the importance of sensitization over the spread of HIV/ AIDS in universities between 2000 and 2012. In general, there is a positive relationship between sensitization and the spread of HIV/ AIDS because the greatest number of students join universities with some knowledge about the causes and the dangers of HIV/ AIDS but later give a deaf ear due to peer pressure, the much use of drugs, influence from the western world as they seek to be superstars, the high levels of poverty that has caused the ladies to go in for something for something love with old men which is termed as cross —generational sex. The gentlemen too go in for sugar mummies which is the most risky choice to make.
