The study had four objectives: To establish the reasons why PTAs were introduced; to find out the roles and functions of PTAs; To investigate the impact of PTAs in provision of quality education in secondary schools; To seek ways and means of improving and strengthening parents’ involvement in provision of quality education in secondary schools in Kabale district. A total of 396 respondents who were purposively and randomly selected were used in the study. They included head teachers, teachers, PTA representatives, parents, students and members from the directorate of education in Kabale district.

Consequently, this study investigated the effects of motivation on the performance of primary school teachers in Kitumba Sub County, Kabale District. Specifically, the study sought to find out whether motivation of teachers has any effect on their morale to perform and; the effect of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on the performance of teachers. The study employed cross sectional descriptive survey and correlation design.
