The study is paramount in this era where corruption has become a social evil proving so hard to be fought. The study pinpoints those challenges faced so that proper work plan for the fight against corruption can be drawn and launched. The methodology used was both qualitative and quantitative. The study revealed that though the office of the Inspectorate of Government play important roles in the fight against corruption in Uganda, there seem to be lack of government political will as demonstrated by the insufficient fund allotted for its administration and the failure to appoint the full workforce which has seen the prosecution by the office of the inspectorate of government halted. It concludes that there are many challenges caused mainly due to the lack of political will to fight corruption and therefore made appropriate recommendations.
