Abstract
The purpose of the study was to assess the impact of procurement on logistics performance in of UNDP Juba. The study was guided by specific objectives which included: To examine the procurement process of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) -JUBA office; To examine the performance of logistics at United Nations Development Programme UNDP-JUBA office; and To establish the relationship between procurement and logistics performance. The study used a cross-sectional survey design that combines both qualitative and quantitative designs. The quantitative approach was adopted to measure the magnitude of the various constructs and variables that were conceptualized which lead to understanding the strength of each construct in their contribution to the main IV and its relationship with the DV. Results indicated that the procurement process of United Nations Development Programme UNDP - JUBA office was fairly where the main components accounted for 77.412% of the variance of Process and this is to indicate that the overall performance of procurement had a significant influence of up to 77.4% from the combined input of the different procurement activities. This finding was in line with the argument that clear policies or activities undertaken in the procurement process have the biggest return and performance not only on the money spend (VFM) but also on the general outcome of the process.
