Abstract
This study sexual and gender based violence on returned and internally displaced persons was carried out in Gulu District with specific aims of examining the procedures taken in the legal protection of the persons who are sexually abused and at the same time the weakness that are still existing within the laws, exploring policies towards the rights of the women internally displaced and also examining the solutions towards the internally displaced persons at camps. Sexual and gender based violence in Uganda is rampant despite the legal procedures taken to curb it. It was concluded that to write a report on the violation of the human rights of sexual and gender based violence on internally displaced persons is a real way of trying to help their situation be understood by every government agencies and every individual in the society and more importantly the NGO's that fight for the rights of sexual and gender based violence on internally displaced persons.
