Abstract
The study sought to investigate the role of broadcast media in promoting Good Governance in Jinja Municipality. The problem of the study is that the media has continuously experienced numerous setbacks such as vote rigging, corruption in form of embezzlement of public funds, tribalism, nepotism and bribery. It is this controversy that prompts the researcher to investigate the contribution of the broadcast media towards promoting good governance. With literature from other scholars and professional theories, the researcher gains ground and employs qualitative and quantitative analysis methods of research. Under survey methods, the researcher used questionnaire and face to face interview. Upon discoveries and findings, the researcher gave possible recommendations to both the media and the government. The researcher is of the view that freedom of the press is upheld and that journalists adhere to their ethics so as not to promote hatred among people.
