performance. The following objectives guided the study; to establish the
relationship between coordination and academic performance; to find out
the influence of the headmasters ability to organize; to establish whether
provision of growth and development has any impact on performance.
The instruments used to collect data was a questionnaire which was
distributed to teachers to rate their head teachers. Finding showed that a
great number of head teachers performed on average their role of
coordinating and organizing school activities but majority were average in
communicating and handling information and were good in motivating
the workers in school organizations. It was recommended that they go for
further training since they had lowly qualification and to gain more
